Medicine, Year 2

It was amazing. Really enthusiastic and got me interested on the course. Lovely accommodation. Cosy and worth the price. Good facilities. Always somewhere to study if needed. All staff were lovely and supportive. Course was everything I thought it would be and more! Really interesting! City life is interesting... If you find the right places you will be okay. Get a good group of pals and you will have a brilliant time!

It was a great uni to study at with a lot of opportunities and extra curricular activities. Staff was also quite helpful. The location was pretty good as well.

Media Studies, Year 2

There was plenty to do, and the fact that we were part of the Uni we had access to all the uni facilities. Despite the study location we still had plenty of interaction with the uni Very good, plenty of computers and fast access to software. Always warm and welcoming Really well looked after, even on busy days. Managing of those locations was really good It was very hands on, always giving you something to do each lecture rather than reading every day. We always had a change to learn how to use the cameras/tripods etc Being from Bedford already, the life is ok and there's plenty to do if you look in the right place. Also from here you have direct access to London and Milton Keynes, both being an hour away.

Sports science, Year 1

(3.8)·By Zaynah M·Sports· Oct 2018
Absolutely great so far, the welcome week could have been condensed down to two or three days but overall really good experience so far! The night life is great and societies are welcoming! The lectures and tutors have good communication between students too and there is loads of information regarding help for any students who may need extra support or bursaries.

Music, Year 2

Freshers week didn't really exist at Bedford college, there was a few exhibits but nothing major There is no accommodation The library is a great place to get some work done, but it would be good to have some more indoor places you can sit and work whilst eating your lunch for example The lecturers are fully committed to helping students get what they want out of the course Bedford isn't great, there is everything you need, but the crime rate is really high

Business Studies, Year 1

(2.8)·By Charlotte M·Business· Mar 2019
At my college we don’t have freshers week because it’s not a university. We had a prepare week where we got to know everyone in our course which was good.. I live at home as beford college does no accommodate but my housemate is only a 30minute walk so it’s not that bad.. Class rooms are a good size but some rooms don’t have enough chairs or computer for the whole class therefore we have to get chairs from other rooms which Isn’t not helpful.. They are very interesting wih different units studying different topics within the course.. The college is right next to town therefore easy access to town and the town is sometimes busy more towards lunch times with family’s , elderly and many more shopping.. That’s you have to pick your course that you will be really interested in bcoz you have 4 lessons a day roughly on that one subject so need to know what you like.

Absolute joke

(1)·By Charles S·Civil Engineering· Nov 2023
I would highly recommend avoiding this college like the plague. The teachers are far and few in between who can actually teach (shout out to Sunday and Bernie - only two that help!) and the facilities are grim. We have been searched by police on entry and just all in all, I hate that my work pays for a course where we barely learn anything.
