Social Research Methods MSc

Our MSc in Social Research Methods provides you with advanced training, in both qualitative and quantitative approaches, that are widely used across the social sciences.<br/><br/>You will be trained together with ESRC/WGSSS doctoral students on a quality research methods enhancement scheme, where you will gain a strong grounding in research ethics and governance, while developing the practical skills to design, conduct and critically evaluate research.<br/><br/>The programme will equip you with the ability to work confidently with a range of tools and techniques, including specialist databases, statistical software and digital research programmes, preparing you to apply these skills across diverse social science contexts.<br/><br/>This MSc is underpinned by a philosophy that combines critical engagement with theory and hands-on practice, enabling you to become a reflective, skilled and independent researcher.
