Global Challenges & Transformations PhD

Research contemporary global challenges connected to geopolitics, economic and social inequalities, and mobilities within and across borders.<br/><br/>This course is well-suited to those interested in analysing the diverse experiences and impacts of current global challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective. You will develop a systematic understanding and critical appreciation of research in social and political enquiry and the way they can be applied for investigating contemporary global challenges connected to geopolitics, economic and social inequalities, and mobilities within and across borders in an interdisciplinary way.<br/><br/>This programme is only available through the Southwest Doctoral Training Partnership. Read more about professional development support on our website.<br/><br/>For interdisciplinary pathways the Lead Supervisor will be from the applicant’s home institution and the second supervisor must be from a different discipline (a different sub-discipline is not sufficient; however, the second could still be from the same institution but a different discipline).
