If you:<br/><br/><br/>* have a keen interest in cultures and societies<br/><br/><br/>* are curious about the relationship between politics and the environment<br/><br/><br/>Then geography may be for you.<br/><br/>**What is geography?**<br/><br/>Understanding geography is very important in this day and age.<br/><br/>Geography is the study of the way the world works.<br/><br/>You can explore the physical processes of our planet, such as:<br/><br/><br/>* volcanoes <br/><br/><br/>* flooding <br/><br/><br/>* climate change<br/><br/><br/>You can also address human issues such as:<br/><br/><br/>* sustainability <br/><br/><br/>* health <br/><br/><br/>* social justice<br/><br/><br/>You can study geography in two ways:<br/><br/><br/>* as a natural science through physical geography <br/><br/><br/>* as a social science or humanities subject, through human geography <br/><br/><br/>**What will I learn?**<br/><br/>Our Master of Arts (MA) Geography gives you the opportunity to specialise in human geography. It is key to understanding and resolving many of societys biggest problems.<br/><br/>Human geographers study many different aspects of the modern world, including:<br/><br/><br/>* public health <br/><br/><br/>* deprivation<br/><br/><br/>* urban justice <br/><br/><br/>* indigenous struggles <br/><br/><br/>* land rights <br/><br/><br/>* migration <br/><br/><br/>* mobility <br/><br/><br/>* climate emergency<br/><br/><br/>We will learn about the relationships between people and their social, cultural, political, and economic worlds.<br/><br/>You will also study aspects of physical geography. We believe it is important to understand the ways we live in the world, as well as our impact upon it.<br/><br/>This degree is flexible.
