Celtic Studies/French MA (Hons)

Celtic Studies provides the opportunity to combine language study with a range of courses on the medieval and modern Celtic cultures of the British Isles. French involves the study of a key European and international language as well as the cultures it has influenced across the world. <br/><br/><strong>Why study this course at the University of Glasgow?</strong> <br/><br/>You will have the opportunity to study the medieval and modern cultures of Celtic-speaking peoples with scholars at the cutting edge of research, and learn a Celtic language of the British Isles. As part of your French degree you can choose to focus on a whole range of topics including French comics, French song, travel writing, medieval France and contemporary French history. <br/><br/><strong>Career Prospects?</strong> <br/><br/>Recent graduates have entered a range of careers including primary and secondary teaching; working with museums and government heritage bodies; publishing and book marketing; music; entrepreneurship. Others have gone on to further study and to pursue successfully a career in research and academic work. Graduates have gone on to pursue rewarding careers in the media, teaching (both at home and abroad), journalism, tourism, translating and interpreting, and the Civil Service, as well as business, commerce and marketing.
