English language and linguistics combines the study of the structure and meaning of the English language, past and present, to see what all this tells us about our culture, our society and ourselves. German involves the study of a key European language and its culture. At Glasgow we provide a wide spectrum of teaching, ranging from the 18th century to contemporary culture.
