You will have the opportunity to study real estate with a specialism in finance and investment, sustainability or housing to enable you to tailor your degree to a specific area of real estate surveying.<br/><br/>**WHY THIS PROGRAMME**<br/>- It will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to work as a chartered. surveyor in both commercial and residential property sectors, as well as an expert in property finance and investment.<br/><br/><br/>- The specialist pathways will allow you to explore a particular area of real estate in more detail, with a focus on finance and investment, sustainability or housing.<br/><br/><br/>- The MSc degree is professionally accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).<br/><br/><br/>- The programme features input from industry, including teaching on some courses, guest lectures and seminars. You will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals at recruitment presentations and events organised by the University of Glasgow.<br/><br/><br/>- The programme captures a blend of academic and professional experience across a number of real estate disciplines that ensures the materials taught are of current relevance for students wanting to enter the profession.<br/><br/><br/>- You will also have opportunities to speak to recent graduates about how the programme has prepared them for their entry into the profession, and what the steps involved in gaining professional accreditation are, in order to help you prepare for the next step.<br/><br/><br/>- An optional field trip to London will provide you with an insight into the complex socio-economic dynamics of city building and design through visits to high profile real estate, planning and regeneration projects. You will have the opportunity to meet and speak with senior industry professionals and policymakers involved in the delivery of major urban developments. Past trips have included visits to the Shard, Olympic Park, Crossrail and Battersea Power Station.<br/><br/><br/>**PROGRAMME STRUCTURE**<br/>You will take nine core courses, along with a selection of one additional specialist core course and two optional courses, based on your chosen pathway.
