The course provides you with an equally weighted dual field NMC qualification in both Learning Disability Nursing and your second chosen field (Mental Health Nursing).
In Years 1-3, you will complete 360 credits whilst following the BN (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing course. You will learn to become a Learning Disability Nurse, working in partnership with people with learning disabilities of all ages, maintaining their holistic health and wellbeing and helping them to live their lives as fully and independently as possible.
In Year 4, you will complete 120 Level 7 credits in your second field of nursing (Mental Health Nursing). Our Integrated Master’s in Nursing course gives you the unique opportunity to gain wider and more in-depth experiences of nursing to meet the changing and challenging healthcare environment.
Nursing and midwifery courses require clinical placements and strict safeguarding, so students must be at least 18 at the course start to meet professional standards and fully take part in all required activities.
