This MSc aims to offer you in-depth exploration of current concepts in clinical endodontics. It is intended to provide you with extended knowledge and understanding of the subject, helping you to improve your clinical skills and increase your job satisfaction in this discipline.<br/><br/><br/>- Ideal if you are a busy dental practitioner who wishes to gain an endodontic qualification while you continue to work in practice<br/><br/><br/>- Suitable if you wish to be considered for recognition (subject to approval) as a dentist with enhanced/extended skills, or special interests, in endodontics <br/><br/><br/>- Taught by a team with a track record in this specialty<br/><br/><br/>- Study at one of the UK’s top-rated dental schools: we are joint first for research impact (REF 2014)<br/><br/><br/>- Open to UK/EEA applicants and overseas applicants who hold both full registration with the General Dental Council and UK residential status<br/><br/><br/>This programme is designed to enable working dental practitioners to develop their knowledge and clinical skills in endodontics.<br/><br/>This is a three-year part-time programme, requiring a commitment of at least one day a week. It also requires physical attendance one day every fortnight.<br/><br/>We will provide you with opportunities to explore up-to-date, evidence-informed endodontics. You will also become familiar with current endodontic concepts and research while exchanging ideas with your peers and reflecting on your personal clinical experiences.<br/><br/>Your pre-clinical laboratory sessions will include demonstrations, ‘hands-on’ practical exercises, discussions and feedback.<br/><br/>In your clinical practice sessions, you will be treating selected patients under supervision, review patient management and their outcomes. You will also take part in case presentations involving case discussions, reflection and review of outcomes.<br/><br/>As part of the clinical module you will have the opportunity to use dental operating microscopes to carry out endodontic treatment; although the number of cases and the type of treatment you will encounter will be dependent on cases available and referrals received.<br/><br/>You will gain research skills. You will also learn about assessing the scientific literature and conduct an audit or research project.<br/><br/>This programme is jointly hosted by the Institute of Dentistry, Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry, and the Dental Teaching Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust.<br/><br/>**Structure**<br/>Six compulsory modules consisting of:<br/>- Four taught modules<br/><br/><br/>- Audit project module<br/><br/><br/>- Literature review module<br/>
