Geography Masters in Research (MRes)

Our Geography MRes is a research-oriented masters programme. Alongside the opportunity to specialise in a chosen area of human geography, you will develop social science research skills and methods appropriate for further research in this field including areas such as historical geography and urban geography.<br/><br/>Develop your own area of research or complete a dissertation on a subject advertised by the School<br/>This MRes is an approved pathway for ESRC funding, enabling students to apply for ESRC 1+3 funding to cover the MRes and a PhD<br/>A pre-doctoral training programme taught in conjunction with the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP)<br/>This programme can also be pursued as a stand-alone degree<br/>Work with institutions and groups beyond the University through our close ties with museums, archives, community organisations and artists<br/>Gain understanding of areas including human geography research, social sciences research training, historical geography of London, urban studies and cities.
