This exciting course has been carefully tailored to prepare you for work in the professional industry. You will explore a wide range of alternative approaches to acting, as well as the naturalistic and classical acting styles, to develop as a well-rounded performer, building a portfolio of experience vital for auditions. At the end of this course you will leave with professional head shots, a voice over show reel, an actor’s show reel, an actor’s CV and knowledge of how to acquire an agent.<br/><br/>You will work alongside practitioners to develop and hone your skills in the three disciplines of acting, singing and movement. Working as a company you will prepare for public performances, both in the classical theatre setting but also in site-specific locations, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The course also includes a subsidised trip* to a European City which is linked to an assessed assignment. Previous locations have included Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin and Edinburgh.<br/>Throughout the course there are lots of opportunities to see live performances and to work with industry professionals on projects, gaining experience and employment connections.<br/>*subject to availability<br/><br/>On completion of the HND you will be prepared for a number of different pathways including auditioning for professional work, further study through a top-up to a BA (Hons) degree, or further courses at drama school.
