Access to HE Diploma

Access to Science Diploma (or similar subject). Selectors will be looking for Distinctions at Level 3 in at least two of Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education or Mathematics. 60 credits in total are required. Also, a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

35 points overall or an aggregate score of 17 from three Higher Levels. Must include grade 6 and grade 5 at Higher Level in two of: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Sports Exercise and Health Science or Mathematics. Notes: The total point score of 35 includes TOK/EE. IB students studying the new Maths curriculum would be required to study either Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at Higher Level if using Maths to meet the subject requirement. GCSE/IGCSE English, Mathematics and Science requirement can be met via IB Standard Level/Middle Years grade 5, if not studied/studying at Higher Level.

Please note that Global Perspectives is not accepted by King’s as one of your Pre-U Principal subjects. Combinations of Pre-U principal subjects and other qualifications (such as A-levels) will be considered. Must include two subjects from Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry, Psychology, Physics, Sociology, Physical Education, or Mathematics. Biology is a preferred subject. Also, a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics.

Also, all applicants must obtain a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6/B or above including Science, English and Mathematics. NOTE: If you are taking linear A levels in England, you will be required to pass the practical endorsement in all Science subjects. This is with the exception of private candidates who are unable to take the practical component.
