Expanding your Spanish language skills in parallel, you will become a bilingual professional with great employability potential. Your 18 months in Spain will also help you develop transferable intercultural competencies and the global skillset employers are looking for.<br/><br/>**How you learn:**<br/><br/>All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.<br/><br/>The course is suitable if you dont meet the entry requirements for our BA (Hons) International Business with Spanish course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study. You share the first year with other Sheffield Business School foundation year students, then move on to the degree.<br/><br/>This course employs a variety of innovative learning and teaching methods within the vibrant, dynamic setting of Sheffield Business School, an internationally-recognised centre of teaching excellence which attracts students and academics from all over the world.<br/><br/>You learn through:<br/><br/><br/>- a semester of overseas study in one of our Spanish partner universities<br/><br/><br/>- an 11-month placement year in a Spanish-speaking country<br/><br/><br/>- lectures and seminars, with guest speakers<br/><br/><br/>- Spanish modules taught in the target language<br/><br/><br/>- independent study<br/><br/><br/>- presentations and group work<br/><br/><br/>- a variety of innovative teaching methods<br/><br/><br/>- state-of-the-art facilities at Sheffield Business School<br/><br/><br/>In the foundation year, youll study wider business topics, while specialising in your chosen subject area. Youll learn useful skills such as academic writing, work in diverse teams and learn to utilise a wide variety of data sources. In doing so, youll fully prepare yourself for undergraduate study.<br/><br/>**Applied learning - Work placements**<br/><br/>As part of your course you will spend 11 months on a work placement in a relevant organisation based in Spain.<br/><br/>Your placement is a great opportunity to gain valuable international business experience. It helps you develop your skills and Spanish language ability and significantly enhances your employability. You will have the opportunity to apply for placements with international companies such as Meli Hotels International or Keysight Technologies.<br/><br/>**Networking opportunities**<br/><br/>We are proud of our links with UK and international businesses and with our alumni.
