Course Overview - Midwifery (Pre-Registration)

This MSc programme provides students, who already have a relevant degree, with the opportunity to study Midwifery at Masters level. It will equip students with the knowledge, skills, interpersonal and cultural competence required to positively contribute to the health of childbearing women and their families, through individualised midwifery care, promoting continuity of care, personalisation and choice.

UCAS Tariff

A 2:1 Bachelor honours degree from an Institution of Higher Education in a Health or Science related subject. Five GCSEs grade C / 4 or above to include Mathematics, English and Science. In addition to the above, evidence of academic study within the last ten years is required. Enhanced DBS and OH clearance is also mandatory, along with two satisfactory references and evidence of relevant work experience (paid or voluntary) . Applicants meeting academic requirements may be invited to attend an interview. If overseas applicant, must have IELTS where the overall score is at least 7.0, with a score of at least 6.5 in all elements.
