If so, this DipHE two year course is for you. <br/><br/>Motion Capture is used extensively across games, film and animation, as well as applications in health and sports science. This new two year course, equivalent to the first two years of university degree study, will teach you the skills you need to be a technician and operator of this rapidly evolving technology. <br/><br/>This course has been developed with industry partners. Aligned to post-production technician occupational standards, you can be sure that the content you learn is taught by experts and to the needs of industry. <br/><br/>You Will: <br/>- Study how to be an effective technician <br/><br/><br/>- Assembling, calibrate and use equipment <br/><br/><br/>- Capture motion data <br/><br/><br/>- Apply that data within gaming engines <br/><br/><br/>- Learn how to be an effective member of a technical team <br/><br/><br/>- Study technical standards appropriate to the discipline <br/><br/><br/>The course covers the practical technical processes involved in motion capture technology. It provides the ‘back end’ production skills delivered from equipment setup to delivery of motion data and projects around real, industry led briefs. It allows for collaboration for our other Undergraduate courses such as performance, game development and animation students in industry-mirroring activity. You will hone your technical expertise; master production pipelines; foster creative visions; refine industry communication and cultivate all the essential skills required in this environment.
