After the first year, all students on the beginners’ course will join students in the advanced level class. If you are joining us at advanced level, the first year will build on and further develop the principles taught at A level, preparing you for the next three years.

If you are studying more than one language, your time on the year abroad is normally split between the two countries to facilitate total immersion in more than one language and culture.

Modern linguists are statistically among the most employable graduates, and our degrees take our students across the world. Our graduates enter
diverse professions, including teaching, administration, management, marketing, and many more.
