This comprehensive course is designed to provide you with specialised knowledge and skills that are highly sought after in the industry.

At ARU we have a wide range of animal species available for you to work with, enabling you to gain hands-on experience and develop sound practical animal husbandry skills. These skills are complemented by an academic program covering various topics essential for effective animal management. By combining practical and theoretical elements, we ensure that our graduates are capable of applying their scientific knowledge to improve the welfare of any animal. Throughout your course, there’s the chance to join ‘behind the scenes’ trips and other experiences.

We offer a number of animal management degrees at ARU Writtle, with a common first year and the chance to specialise in years 2-3. With our Animal Management (Bioveterinary Science) course, your focus will be on animal health and welfare, nutrition, breeding, microbiology and parasitology, and immunology.
