Many of our pet animals display complex behavioural needs, with supporting management requirements that address the way in which we interact with the individual to improve welfare.

This course aims to provide the student with a thorough understanding of possible contributors to pet behaviour and welfare, thus enabling the individual to contribute positively to the field of applied animal behaviour. Developing a thorough scientific understanding, combined with the ability to apply that knowledge practically, will enable the individual to take a proactive role in the industry following graduation. The development of excellent communication skills, particularly in terms of client interaction and education, will be a key graduate attribute for students who have undertaken this award.

This one-year Top-Up option is equivalent to Year 3 of our BSc (Hons) Animal Management (Pet Behaviour and Welfare), and will allow you to top-up your existing qualification to a full degree.
