Find out more about ARU, including our recent Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, at aru.ac.uk.**<br/><br/>Sports Nutrition is an area experiencing massive growth, with virtually every professional club and elite athlete now employing or using the services of a sport nutritionist.<br/><br/>The course aims to develop an individuals academic expertise and personal employment potential providing a rigorous, balanced and stimulating education within the area of sports nutrition.<br/><br/>This new taught masters programme is suitable as a progression route from an appropriate undergraduate degree, or for those already working in industry that want to develop their knowledge. By delivering in a blended format, with a number of face to face on campus sessions (likely to be over 4 weekends and 2 full week sessions) alongside supported online sessions and independent learning, we aim to meet needs of a wide range of applicants.<br/><br/>Students may study this over 1 year as a full-time programme or 2 years as a part-time programme.<br/><br/>Students will develop a deeper and critical understanding of the importance of nutrition and an ability to use this knowledge, critical understanding and skills to provide solutions to nutritional issues within sporting populations.<br/><br/>As part of the programme, students will access, evaluate and critique nutrition information from a variety of sources and will communicate the principles both orally and in the written form, in a way that is organised, relevant and recognises the limits of current hypotheses in the field.<br/><br/>Applications are welcomed from international students, noting that additional touchpoints will be put into place to ensure UKVI compliance.
