WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?<br/>To gain a place on this course, students will need to have a full Level 3 qualification (48 UCAS points) OR extensive relevant work experience AND a good command of English.<br/><br/>WHAT WILL I STUDY ?<br/>Year 1: Academic Management & Professional Skills for the Events Industries; Managing the International (Events) Workforce; The Events Industry in Context; Event Project Design; Basics of Business for the Service Industries; Introduction to Marketing and Social Media for Events. Year 2: Applied Research Methods for Events Studies; Event Sponsorship and Income Generation; Risk Management and Legalities for Events; Project Management Operations; Work Experience.<br/><br/>HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED ?<br/>Assessment is through a mixture of individual and group assignments, a management report and occasional presentations and classroom-based examinations.<br/><br/>WHAT QUALIFICATIONS COULD I ACHIEVE ?<br/>A Foundation Degree in Event Management<br/><br/>HOW DO I JOIN THE COURSE ?<br/>Please complete an application form and return to the College - either online, by post or in person at the Wood Street Campus.<br/><br/>WILL I NEED AN INTERVIEW ?<br/>Yes, you will need to meet with a member of staff for an interview and an initial assessment.<br/><br/>ANY EXTRA COSTS FOR EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS ?<br/>No.<br/><br/>FURTHER INFORMATION<br/>This foundation degree is validated by the University of Bolton.
