The Graduate Diploma in Mathematics is a conversion course for graduates of any discipline looking to switch to a career or further study in mathematics, without having to sign up to a three-year undergraduate degree.<br/><br/>Our Graduate Diploma in Mathematics is designed to be as flexible as possible; you will have a choice of modules taken from our BSc Mathematics. You will meet with the course director before the start of the academic year and decide on a suitable course of study, based on your interests and experience.<br/><br/>This is an undergraduate-level qualification that will prepare you for postgraduate study. Graduate Diplomas typically take one to two years to complete and are made up of two, three or four modules at final-year undergraduate degree level (worth 60, 90 or 120 credits).<br/><br/>**Highlights**<br/><br/><br/>- Designed for students with mathematical ability and a first degree in a quantitative subject.<br/><br/><br/>- An ideal way to refresh and extend existing knowledge, as preparation for further graduate study, such as our MSc Mathematics, or as a stand-alone course.<br/><br/><br/>- Allows you to learn more about the areas of mathematics that most interest you.<br/><br/><br/>- Copies of the recommended texts for each module will be available in the Birkbeck Library. The library also provides facilities for private study.
