This course aims to provide a course with an emphasis on Fitness for Practice that bridges the gap between theory and practice. The qualification is designed to provide employers with highly employable graduates who can hit the ground running and who require the minimum of on the job training.<br/><br/>This unique course has been created in response to the needs of health and social care providers in the voluntary, private and public sectors to enhance the training and qualifications of their advanced practitioners, operational and managerial staff, to meet the current service quality and performance agenda. This course will be relevant to students working, or intending to work, within the fields of Health and Social Care. Students on this course will need to undertake a total of 250 hours of placement, in setting such as community health dementia suites and care homes. If students are already in employment this can count towards placement hours. This placement experience is integral to ensuring students are able to apply the theory from the classroom into the practical setting and develop their individual skills and abilities within this field.
