Our staff of experienced professional photographers will support and encourage you on this dynamic and friendly course. <br/><br/>Our course will open your eyes to different aspects of photography and help you understand images from a fresh perspective. From developing practical photographic skills to exploring visual research, this specialist course will enable you to understand and appreciate photography as a means of communication and creative expression. <br/><br/>Our team will help you to identify your own interests in photography and enable you to make the most of your creative practice. Theyll share their research insights and professional practice so that you are exposed to current and relevant photographic skills and knowledge.<br/><br/>The course is taught within professional facilities, including specialist digital imaging and film processing suites and well-equipped studios. You’ll learn how to edit and print your work both in a darkroom and using digital printing methods. You’ll also receive technical support to enable you use a variety of cameras, in a range of camera formats, including our latest digital cameras.<br/><br/>Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on the integration of practice and theory. Canterbury is just 50 miles south-east of London and less than an hour by high-speed train from St Pancras. Located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site the campus offers state-of-the-art buildings, right in the centre of a vibrant and world-famous cathedral city. You’ll benefit from a campus with excellent learning and teaching resources, music venues, a superb sports centre, a well-stocked bookshop and plenty of coffee bars and places to eat. A short walk away is Augustine House our award-winning library and home to a vast range of learning resources and student support teams.
