**What does the course include?**<br/><br/>The BTEC Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Business is a vocational Higher Education course, designed to prepare you for a career in business through a combination of theoretical and practical teaching<br/><br/>**First year (HNC) units will include:**<br/>- Business & the Business Environment<br/><br/><br/>- Business Law<br/><br/><br/>- Financial Accounting<br/><br/><br/>- Marketing Essentials<br/><br/><br/>- Managing a Business Project<br/><br/><br/>- Human Resource Management<br/><br/><br/>- Management Accounting<br/><br/><br/>- Management and Operations<br/><br/><br/>**Second year (HND) units will include:**<br/>- Business strategy<br/><br/><br/>- Brand Management<br/><br/><br/>- Planning for Growth<br/><br/><br/>- Research Project (2 units)<br/><br/><br/>- Consumer Behaviour / Insight Unit<br/><br/><br/>- Employee Relations<br/><br/><br/>- Organisational Behaviour<br/><br/><br/>**How is the course assessed?**<br/>Coursework and continual assessment, there are no external exams although you may sometimes have in class tests.<br/><br/>**Where does it lead?**<br/>The HNC/D is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification throughout the business world. It provides a basic grounding in the core areas of business and management and leads to new employment opportunities, career enhancement, and promotion prospects. The HNC/D gives automatic subject exemption from many professional qualifications.<br/><br/>Holders of the BTEC HNC/D in Business can study for one additional top-up year at various UK universities to gain a business degree (e.g. BA (Hons) in Business).<br/><br/>**Fees**<br/>Standard - £5,500 (subject to annual review)<br/><br/>**Duration**<br/>This course is two years in length with each year comprising of 30 study weeks, 3 reading weeks and holidays.
