This course is designed to prepare you for a career in a broad range of digital occupations, such as Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Business Intelligence and Data analytics. <br/><br/>The first year of this two year course lays the foundation of learning by providing a broad introduction to digital technologies and to a range of specialist functions, developing your core skills in key areas of digital-technology-related business. <br/><br/>The second year gives you the opportunity to specialise in a digital-technology related occupational area such as Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Business and Data analytics. <br/><br/>Once you have completed your two years with us you will have a professional understanding of the principles in your chosen digital specialism and will know how to apply those principles more widely in the area of digital technologies. You will finish with a Level 5 Higher National Diploma, which is equivalent to a second year of an Undergraduate degree, and you can either progress into employment in the industry or complete a BSc Top-up (Level 6) at a University that offers it. <br/><br/>This is an approved Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) that has been approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education and aligns with occupational standards recognised by employers. <br/><br/>HTQs are a new alternative to apprenticeships or degrees. They may suit you if you want a more practical, employer-led study programme.
