Our HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering course can be studied as a stand-alone qualification, or as the first year of the HND qualification. During this Level 4 course you will gain a broad understanding of Electrical Engineering principles.<br/><br/>Delivered alongside the HNC Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering course, our expert tutors will give you a strong, sector-related emphasis on practical skills, and will help you to develop your existing knowledge of engineering. You will be able to expand your understand of mathematics, modern design, and electrical techniques, as well as mechanical principles to give you a broad understanding of all industrial needs.<br/><br/>By the end of the course you will have developed a good mix of practical and employability skills to further your career or progress onto higher levels of study.<br/><br/>**What can I do after completing this course?**<br/>Once you have completed the course you will have a diverse range of transferable skills that will enable you to either, advance in your current role, or push for a promotion in this exciting industry. You may also choose to continue onto the second year of the course to complete the HND programme.<br/><br/>Past students have gone on to work with local businesses such as Qinetiqs, where graduates secure technician, supervisor and management roles. Past students have worked with companies such as EDF, Aero Vintage, Photek, Deutsch(TE), Secol Engineering, VG Scienta, Stevens Rowsell, British Gypsum and Interface Engineering.<br/><br/>In 2024 we were awarded an exceptional 94% National Student Survey (NSS) rating. Every university in the UK takes part in the NSS, as do many colleges. This survey gathers students’ opinions on the quality of their courses which helps to inform prospective students’ choices and provide data that supports universities and colleges to improve the student experience.
