Additionally, you’ll develop further professional insights into mental wellbeing issues in today’s performance sports industry.<br/><br/>Sports therapy makes up one aspect of an athlete’s overall performance sports picture. Through hands-on experience and opportunities to reflect, you’ll become confident in making multidisciplinary plans with colleagues to benefit the athlete more holistically.<br/><br/>You’ll leave us as a trusted sports therapist with extensive real-world experience in all aspects of contemporary sports therapy. Employers will value your extensive therapeutic skills and excellent patient care.<br/><br/>**What youll study**<br/><br/>A critical aspect of your MSc Sports Therapy is our focus on your personal, professional practice through working with real clients in a professional setting, complemented by additional specialist training.<br/><br/>Your 200-hour vocational placement, worth one-third of the overall course credit, is carefully selected to line up with your career goals. Your placement will connect with your interest and likely involve aspects of injury management related to nutrition, psychology and ethical-legal considerations, injury prevention and sports performance.<br/><br/>To boost your development as an evidence-based sports therapist, you also complete an applied research project. This project may be connected to your placement and there may be an opportunity to have elements of your work published, for example, in a sports medicine journal.<br/><br/>You’ll also attend lectures and workshops on strength and conditioning and mental health awareness in a sporting context. This will add to your clinical skillset as you find your next role.
