The aim of the BA (Hons) Criminology with Social Justice (Top Up) is to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in the vast range of options within criminal justice agencies; community organisations and psychological fields. Understanding the human behaviour and factors contributing to general patterns of behaviour, psychological functioning and experience are key to understanding and predicting criminal behaviour and formulating criminal justice responses to crime. This degree will give students an understanding of crime, crime control and criminal and social justice alongside the biological, social, clinical and cognitive factors that influence behaviour.<br/><br/>Careers that students pursue include working for the courts, probation, police, immigration service, working with young offenders or working in supporting roles in a wider range of fields such as homelessness, refugee work, victim support, or working with voluntary or community organisations.
