You will study a combination of biochemical, molecular and cellular knowledge, and engineering principles. This provides you with the scientific expertise to enable you to design tissue engineered constructs that repair, replace and rejuvenate damaged or diseased tissue. You will investigate cells and the extracellular environments, tissue structure and function so you can explore the critical challenges of cell, tissue, and organ regeneration.<br/><br/>From the start of the course, you will build a solid foundation in the principles of biomedical science. You will discover the fundamentals of stem cell biology, tissue engineering, immunoengineering, drug delivery and nanotechnology.
