The discipline draws on knowledge from many different aspects of science such as chemistry, biology, and physics as well as other subjects such as geography and environmental science. Modern society is based on the work of geologists in the hunt for natural resources for energy and materials for contemporary living. Geologists are likely to be in high demand for years to come due to the continuous evolution of modern societies.

BSc Geology is an applied course that examines the Earth, its structure, formation, composition, history, processes, hazards and materials.
