Guest speakers are active practitioners in forensic services from prisons, and low, medium, and high security hospitals (for example, Broadmoor). <br/><br/><br/>- A placement in a setting related to forensic psychology practice. <br/><br/><br/>**About this course** <br/>You will study the application of psychology in various forensic settings and be introduced to the role of the forensic psychologist. You will examine the legal aspects of forensic psychology (e.g. courts and sentencing) and factors that may lead to criminal behaviour. This course provides you with the opportunity for a crucial observational work placement. Possible settings include both statutory and third sector contexts, such as secure psychiatric hospitals, childrens homes and youth offending teams.
