A degree in Global Religions will provide you with the tools to cut through some of the complex challenges of our globalised world. Building a sophisticated, interdisciplinary understanding of global issues will underpin success in a range of potential career pathways. <br/><br/>You’ll be in the driving seat of your learning experience.<br/><br/>By studying Global Religions at Lancaster, you will learn to navigate the ever-changing geopolitical landscape of religion in the world today. You will study demographically significant religions, primarily Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism, in relation to challenges across the globe such as regional conflict, climate change, political changes, and social justice movements.<br/><br/>You will also be introduced to different methods of studying Global Religions, through sociological, political, philosophical, historical and textual ways of thinking.<br/><br/>During your degree, you will have the opportunity to tailor your study of Global Religions to suit you. Through your choice of optional modules, you will be able to build your knowledge of the wider issues surrounding religion.<br/><br/>**Real life experiences**<br/>Take what you have learned and put this into practice via an internship with our department’s Richardson Institute for Peace Studies. Here you will have the chance apply your knowledge and skills to real-world projects, within the oldest peace and conflict research centre in the UK.
