You’ll become an expert in food and nutrition on this accredited course.**<br/><br/>As part of this course, you’ll:<br/><br/><br/>- Study a constantly developing and diverse subject<br/><br/><br/>- Analyse the role of food and nutrition in disease, how lifestyle affects food and nutrition, and the vested interests of the food industry <br/><br/><br/>- Understand current issues in nutrition, enabling you to make a positive difference in a variety of nutrition-related roles<br/><br/><br/>- Develop a range of practical skills, including the ability to devise programmes for interventions, secure funding from commissioners and report your findings to wider audiences<br/><br/><br/>- Work either face-to-face or virtually with community groups to understand how to successfully engage with clients and influence behaviour change using websites, media presentations, workshops and social media<br/><br/><br/>- Integrate work experience alongside your academic study to enhance your employability and meet the Association for Nutrition competencies to become a registered associate nutritionist upon graduation<br/><br/><br/>- Have the choice to apply to study part-time via distance learning to fit your course around existing commitments<br/><br/><br/>**Find out more**<br/><br/>**Put your learning into practice**<br/>Our links with employers in the field of nutrition will ensure you can practically apply your learning. Youll undertake a four to six-week placement either in the UK or abroad. A placement is an opportunity to gain significant work experience in areas such as food product development, weight loss and healthy lifestyles, and consultancy in either the private, public or charity sector. <br/><br/>**Specialist facilities** <br/>If you choose face-to-face teaching, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art biomedical science laboratories, clinical skills suite and kitchens, which will enable you to further develop your practical skills. If you study via distance learning, you’ll take part in bespoke virtual alternatives designed by experienced lectures and online course designers.<br/><br/>**Learn from experts**<br/>Youll be taught by an experienced team of professionals including Professor Louisa Ells, a leading expert in obesity, and Dr Maria Maynard, leader of the Migrant Health Research group.
