Sport and exercise science research at LSBU is of high quality; 73% of our research into Sport and Exercise Sciences was awarded the two highest ratings: 4* world-leading or 3* internationally excellent, for overall quality by the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014. 90% received 4* or 3* for impact (reach and significance) and 75% a 3* for environment - conducive to producing research of internationally excellent quality, in terms of its vitality and sustainability.<br/><br/>A member of staff, expert in the chosen field, is directly responsible for guiding and supporting your research programme. As a research student youll become part of our thriving academic community. Most research work in the field takes place as part of the Sport and Exercise Science Research Centre. A research degree is different from a taught course. Research students are expected to self-direct their learning with support from a supervisory team.
