This will be an essential platform for tackling many mechanical tasks and developing a more in-depth knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.<br/><br/>Designed to meet the needs of employers in Mechanical Engineering and Management, the HNC level is primarily intended to give students the opportunity to develop sound practical mechanical investigation, construction, measuring, testing and project skills.<br/><br/>Studied over two years, the course content is directly relevant to the profession to enable students to make an immediate or ongoing difference in employment.<br/><br/>The HNC will equip you with the skills required to seek employment in a wide range of manufacturing, service and public sector organisations at engineering.<br/>Depending on the options you choose, you can also achieve a degree of specialisation in one or more of the areas of engineering drawing, CNC, CAD, Design for Manufacture, Control Systems, Industrial System, Economics of Manufacture, or Engineering Measurement.<br/><br/>Emphasizing the importance of work-based experience, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to existing companies and gain valuable skills that will inform your future practice. You will be expected to complete a level of self-directed study throughout the duration of this course, and we require you to commit a dedicated amount of time to your learning both in and of college.
