The HND Mechanical Engineering gives you opportunities to learn and understand the core principles and technologies that underpin Mechanical Engineering. This will be an essential platform for tackling many mechanical tasks and developing a more in-depth knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.<br/><br/>Designed to meet the needs of employers in Mechanical Engineering and Management, the HND level is primarily intended to give students the opportunity to develop sound practical mechanical investigation, construction, measuring, testing and project skills, these are critical to being a good mechanical engineering technician.<br/><br/>Studied over two years, the course content is directly relevant to the profession to enable students to make an immediate or ongoing difference in employment.<br/><br/>During the qualification, you will develop a knowledge and understanding across a range of core Mechanical Principles, Engineering Design, Engineering Maths, Engineering Science and the Fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Heat Engines.<br/><br/>This course has been developed in collaboration with our external partners to ensure that your education is relevant and up to date. Emphasising the importance of work-based experience, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to existing companies and gain valuable skills that will inform your future practice.
