BSc Geography and Management is a joint honours degree that will appeal to those looking to extend their knowledge of the social and physical processes affecting our rapidly changing planet, as well as develop their understanding of management.<br/><br/>On our BSc (Hons) Geography and Management degree you will spend equal amounts of time studying each subject. There is also the opportunity to explore the relationship between geography and management in an optional final year dissertation.<br/><br/>Geography<br/>In Geography, our academic staff are driving forward intellectual agendas in physical and human geography, as well as helping to shape national and international policy. This expertise ensures that the knowledge you are getting throughout your programme is at the cutting-edge of scientific research and focused on some of the most important issues in society today.<br/><br/>In the first year of our BSc (Hons) Geography and Management degree, the geography modules span human and physical geography, ensuring you have a firm understanding of how social and physical processes vary within the context of places and regions. In second and final year of this course you can specialise in either human or physical geography, or you can choose to maintain the equal balance between the two.<br/><br/>Management<br/>Throughout this course you will also gain an insight into business management from one of the UK’s leading Business Schools. In the first year, you will be introduced to a range of accounting and financial management topics. You will also explore the complexities of managing human resources.
