Practical sessions are taught in specialist teaching laboratories, and you will also use these facilities, as well as our research laboratories, while undertaking your research project.<br/><br/>he theoretical content and practical sessions delivered in sports nutrition and exercise physiology on this course will allow students to develop the fundamental understanding and the ability to apply and translate this knowledge into practice within the sport, exercise and health sectors, enabling you to transition into a highly adept researcher or practitioner.<br/><br/>You will be taught by our internationally renowned academics from the fields of exercise physiology and sport and exercise nutrition, as well as receiving guest sessions from expert professional practitioners from the worlds of performance sport and clinical health.<br/><br/>Outstanding laboratories are provided in two purpose-built facilities, the Clyde Williams building and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine - East Midlands (NCSEM-EM).<br/><br/>These facilities house dedicated teaching and research space, including physiology, nutrition and molecular biology laboratories, with specialist facilities for environmental physiology (two climatic chambers), disability sport and clinical exercise physiology.
