It aims to provide opportunities for students to identify and evaluate key concepts in understanding human and social needs, explore core social policy issues and critically evaluate professional, cultural and ethical aspects of research and leadership. <br/><br/>At Level 6 the modules studied will have a grounding in practical work-based settings despite learning a little more towards academic themes.<br/><br/>**Core Modules include:**<br/>- Ethics - Practical and Legal Issues<br/><br/><br/>- Crime and Society<br/><br/><br/>- Leading Social and Community based Organisations<br/><br/><br/>- Psychosocial Perspectives and Practice-based Intervention<br/><br/><br/>- Preparation for Dissertation<br/><br/><br/>- Dissertation<br/><br/><br/>(Modules may vary) <br/><br/>**Entry Requirements**<br/>You must have achieved a foundation degree (or equivalent) in a related subject. You are also required to have GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or equivalent in English and maths.<br/><br/>**What can I do next?**<br/>Our students follow careers in a wide variety of areas within the social and community sector. These could include family support and outreach work, support workers, youth justice and probation services, sport and community projects, prison service, a range of voluntary or charity services or local authority.<br/><br/>Students could also have the option to apply for further study opportunities such as Masters (For example in Social work or other related degrees) or higher apprenticeships
