This is still the focus despite the current impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in that they predict tourism growth in the long term will achieve over 1.8 billion of international arrivals (UNWTO, Tourism Towards 2030). <br/><br/>Due to the impacts of the pandemic the course is designed in partnership with employers and industry associations to give you a solid theoretical and practical understanding of travel and tourism management enabling you to progress to higher level studies or directly into industry. <br/>The current crisis is an opportunity to rethink tourism for the future. Tourism is at a crossroads and the measures put in place today will shape the tourism of tomorrow. From conference, events and tour management to tourist information services, passenger transport to culture and heritage work, theme parks to national parks, you could find yourself working across the board of this diverse industry. Indeed, tourism is a global industry, so there is also an advantage in learning a second language, which could take you to many different countries and locations. <br/><br/>To help you develop employment opportunities you will receive free membership to the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) for the duration of your degree.
