The Universitys strong links within the industry and professional bodies mean that this course is highly regarded and well respected internationally.<br/><br/>For those of you with appropriate experience the programme will help generate greater understanding of your subject and becoming a competent practitioner who is able to influence health, safety and environmental improvement in the workplace. For those new to OH&S and working in organisations it prepares you for appropriate entry level roles.<br/><br/>You will develop legal, technical and scientific knowledge to enable you to recognise, assess, and problem solve risks. You will gain insight into health and safety in a variety of industries including agriculture, construction, transport, and manufacturing, and will be able to develop an organisations safety and wellbeing policy, respond to accident and ill health reporting, and improve your negotiation, advocacy, management, leadership, communication and teamwork skills.<br/><br/>All course tutors are practising consultants and have strong links with professional bodies, which ensures that you will be studying the latest developments and practices.
