The course is intended for those graduates who hold a Master of Architecture degree (or its equivalent with ARB/RIBA Part II exemption) and who wish to proceed to full professional status with the ability to practice as an architect in the UK.<br/><br/>**Accreditation**<br/>Our Architectural Practice and Management Diploma (APMD) is prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and is validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as meeting the standards for the final Part 3 qualification required to practice as an Architect in the UK. Successful completion of the course allows admission to the Register of Architects as maintained by ARB and permits full membership of the RIBA.<br/><br/>**Quality and Ranking**<br/>We rank in the top 100 for Architecture - QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019<br/><br/>**Delivery**<br/>The course runs from September to August of the following year (12 months). Teaching is delivered in block sessions (in October, February and May) and attendance at the University is required for a total of 8 days:<br/><br/><br/>- 3 days in October<br/><br/><br/>- 2 days in February<br/><br/><br/>- 2 days in May<br/><br/><br/>- 1 day in late August/early September for the Oral Examination<br/><br/><br/>Each teaching block includes:<br/><br/><br/>- lectures<br/><br/><br/>- seminars<br/><br/><br/>- student presentations<br/><br/><br/>- group discussions<br/><br/><br/>- scenario-based workshops<br/><br/><br/>Assessment is by coursework (2 x 1,000 word essays, 2 x 3,000 word scenario reports, 1 x 2,000 word personal appraisal and 1 x 6,000 word Case Study) and an oral examination.
