The History of Medicine MA will take you from classical antiquity to the 21st century, covering classical antiquity, medieval, early modern and modern periods.<br/><br/>The History of Medicine MA is part of the Northern Centre for History of Medicine, one of the UKs leading centres for Medical History. This interdisciplinary and comprehensive course is open to students from the humanities and social sciences and also to candidates with a health care or medical sciences background.<br/><br/>As part of the course you will also have the opportunity to study an additional language.<br/><br/>Facilities<br/><br/>You will have access to dedicated MA study space, PC clusters and free printing in the Armstrong Building. You will also receive a personal study allowance of £100.<br/><br/>The School of History, Classics and Archaeology provides access to some top quality facilities such as:<br/>•the Great North Museum: Hancock<br/>•our libraries<br/>•The Gertrude Bell Archive<br/>•Computing facilities with access to relevant databases.
