The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Integrative Counselling programme is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic approaches and methodologies in counselling. Integrative counselling emphasises the importance of blending different theoretical frameworks and techniques to best meet the diverse needs of the clients. This programme provides students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective counselling practice across various settings.<br/><br/>The programme has been written with contemporary and future counselling practice in mind and is designed to address the growing demand for qualified and skilled counsellors who can provide effective and ethical mental health support to individuals in diverse communities. The programme aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of counselling theories, therapeutic techniques and practical skills to foster positive change in individuals lives. It emphasises the importance of inclusivity, diversity, and ethics in counselling practice and aims to produce compassionate and competent professionals in the field of mental health.<br/><br/>Our programme will enable progression to a wide range of jobs within the industry which include working in charitable organisations, private sector, NHS and prison settings, schools, working within a pastoral setting, working as trainers and facilitators. A number of recent graduates have established private practice, as well as accepting positions within the NHS, prison service, and charitable organisations. Others have progressed to Post-graduate programmes, including psychology conversions.
