Sport, Fitness and Exercise Science BSc (Hons)

Sport Science is a relatively new academic field, but one that is dynamic and exciting. <br/><br/>The Sport Science degree programme has been designed to prepare our graduates for the world of work and graduating students will be well equipped to enter employment in a variety of sport related settings. Not only will students gain industry standard skills, working with lab equipment, and working in sport related fields, but students will also gain a plethora of transferable skills that will help our graduate succeed in any field of employment. <br/><br/>The programme offers a research backed multi-disciplinary approach to studying and applying knowledge of sport and exercise in a health, educational and professional context. Opportunities are also provided to specific study areas of interest through the completion of a dissertation. <br/><br/>Students will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities based at the Cities premier sporting venue, the Eco-power Stadium. Students will also be based at Doncaster Athletics track, located within the Stadium. Students will have access to the Sport Science Clinic for practical work, the stadiums on site gym facilities at our Eco power stadium site, plus our laboratories. Students will gain hands on experience with industry standard equipment, such as; VO2 Max Oxygen analysis, Blood Lactate testing, Hydration testing, Opti Jump systems, Game Ready, Inplay Sport analysis, Normatec and much more.
