These support learners in developing practical skills required for various roles within the sector.<br/><br/>Theoretical content supports practical lessons and covers a wide range of topics within medical bioscience, which provides students with underlying knowledge in key areas and helps inform career and/or further study choices.<br/><br/>The BSc [Hons] Medical Bioscience programme includes a variety of modules that reflect different areas of the Medical Bioscience sector. This will allow students to develop an awareness of potential career opportunities and the underpinning knowledge. Practical lessons will be delivered at NLC STEM Campus in the purpose-built (HE) STEM laboratories.<br/><br/>Emerging fields pertinent to medical bioscience are embedded throughout the BSc [Hons] Medical Bioscience programme, ensuring students have the knowledge and skills to give them a competitive edge in a challenging economic climate. By covering emerging fields, students will leave the programme with the most current and up-to-date knowledge that will not only be a benefit should they wish to undertake further educational study but also if they choose to enter employment, then they will be equipped with an understanding of and practical experience within the most current and emerging areas within this field. This attractive prospect has been identified as an essential factor by employers.<br/><br/>Careers leading on from these programmes include Analytical Support Chemist, Technical Support Scientist, Microbiology Support Scientist, Process Development Technologist, Laboratory Assistant, Senior Laboratory Technician, Assistant Scientist, Technical Specialist (Scientist), Quality Control Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Co-ordinator, Technical Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Analyst, Laboratory Research Assistant, Science Teacher, Medical Writer, Pharmaceutical Development/Sales and Charity/Support Work.<br/><br/>This course is particularly relevant to people already working in or looking to develop a career in scientific or medical research or laboratories.<br/><br/>If you wish to continue studying beyond this course, it will provide you with a strong academic basis.
