Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership MSc

Our MSc Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership will enable students to acquire the skills needed to lead in an AI and data-driven economy by investigating, identifying and implementing technological strategic solutions. Students may wish to pursue or progress their career in IT leadership and this course gives them the skills needed to lead in a digital world. Students will study IT leadership and management, as well as IT strategy, data analysis, business process and IT project management.<br/>By studying this programme, learners will gain an in-depth understanding of the statistical and mathematical foundations of data analytics and obtain the knowledge and skills required to lead the application of digital transformation and data analytics in real-world and business contexts. This programme allows students to build knowledge and skills in both the technology and the people side of technology-triggered change. <br/><br/>Students will learn how to investigate business data requirements and apply data selection, data curation, data quality assurance and data investigation techniques. They will gain the skills to help businesses to most effectively organise their data, present data and investigation results along with compelling business opportunities reports to senior stakeholders.<br/><br/>Suitable for recent graduates and for those looking to retrain or restart careers, the MSc Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership provide an ideal pathway for those aspiring to further their careers in leading digital transformation initiatives in the AI and data-driven business environment. Employers need to build teams with a diversity of thought and experience because this is both a critical factor in innovative thinking within teams and will facilitate the delivery of solutions applicable to an inclusive society.<br/><br/>**Structure**<br/>The University’s MSc Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership is a 180-credit programme.<br/>Each course, typically 15 or 30 credits, is assessed by a range of activities aligned to industry norms, meaning that almost all assessments align with typical activities that are expected in a data-related occupation. The content, and consequently the learning outcomes and methods of assessment, vary between courses.<br/><br/>The programme culminates with the production of a dissertation of 10,000-12,000 words, which is worth 60 credits.<br/><br/>**Teaching**<br/>Courses will be taught in lectures, seminars, labs, drop-in sessions/office hours and through one-on-one tutorials.<br/>The dissertation will involve independent research under supervision from a Faculty member.<br/><br/>**Part-time study**<br/>The Masters programme can be taken part-time over two years. Part-time students attend the same classes as their full-time colleagues, taking 50% of the course load each academic year.<br/>Our Masters programmes are demanding and we advise students that, if they intend to work alongside the course, their work should be flexible in nature. However, we will work with students, where possible taking into account their individual circumstances and need, to be flexible with our provisions.<br/><br/>**Assessment**<br/>Summative assessment for the MSc Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership will be by a range of methods to ensure students have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and achievements. Students will also be assessed on a dissertation of 10,000-12,000 words.
