Central to the aim of the course is the belief that you will ‘learn how to learn’, thereby providing resilience within future employment and practice. <br/><br/>**INTEGRATED FOUNDATION (YEAR 0)**<br/><br/>This course includes an integrated foundation year (Year 0), which promotes developing practical, technical and creative skills and confidence. Building on your prior experience, you will be introduced to some of our workshops to assist your skill development, with an increasing emphasis on professional standards and independent study. The course places emphasis on your personal commitment to study, while supporting you in your progression.<br/><br/>**KEY FEATURES** <br/><br/><br/>- Introduction to a variety of fine art approaches paired with a historical and theoretical foundation <br/><br/><br/>- Gain key technical knowledge through a range of comprehensive workshops <br/><br/><br/>- Incredible studio spaces, which are your own designated spaces <br/><br/><br/>- Receive feedback and tailored guidance through regular tutorials <br/><br/><br/>- Creative Practice, Careers and Employability and Communication and Research are embedded into all the course units, presenting a holistic, integrated approach to learning <br/><br/><br/>- Develop business skills such as promoting and selling your work, growing your audience, curation, contracts, costing jobs and presenting your outcomes <br/><br/><br/>- Learn through a variety of learning and teaching methods including lectures, individual and group tutorials, academic workshops and studio time <br/><br/><br/>- Get ample opportunities to engage in collaborative projects through course links with regional, national and international organisations <br/><br/><br/>**DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE COMPUTING**<br/><br/>The year-long Diploma in Creative Computing year takes place between Year 2 and 3 of the course and is designed to introduce you to creative computing and gain an understanding of how you can use coding skills to advance and complement your creative practice. You do not need any prior experience of coding to participate, just a curiosity about creative computing and a desire to push your own practice digitally.<br/><br/>**YOUR FUTURE** <br/><br/>Through a variety of projects, some working with external partners, your creative development will evolve alongside the acquisition of valuable transferable skills such as complex problem solving, communication skills, emotional intelligence, organisation and team working. <br/><br/>Throughout your degree in Fine Art, you will have the chance to develop links with regional and national organisations and through the visiting lecture series you’ll get to network with contemporary artists, curators, academics and writers.
