**OVERVIEW** <br/><br/>BA (Hons) Photography at Norwich University of the Arts provides opportunities to develop a highly personal, unique and creatively aspirational practice, whilst giving you the practical skills and understanding to apply your creative vision to a range of contexts within the creative and cultural industries. <br/><br/>The course champions personal practice and you will develop this highly individual creative identity while acquiring a deep understanding of technical craft skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of approaches to contemporary photography. <br/><br/>**KEY FEATURES**<br/><br/><br/>- Actively engage with the rapidly developing nature of photography and explore the possibilities of new and emerging technologies <br/><br/><br/>- Utilise a range of practices from within historical boundaries of photography and at the cutting edge of contemporary practice <br/><br/><br/>- Explore techniques from other areas of creative practice including moving image, computer-generated imagery (CGI), animation and illustration <br/><br/><br/>- Engage with a wide range of contemporary practitioners and artists with diverse practices as well as the Association of Photographers (AOP) <br/><br/><br/>- Gain insight from guest speakers and masterclasses led by renowned professionals who will help shape your business skills <br/><br/><br/>- Develop transferable professional abilities in analytical thinking, critical judgement, organisational skills, collaboration and communication <br/><br/><br/>- Attend workshops, portfolio reviews and professional practice sessions to support your transition from academia to your chosen career <br/><br/><br/>**DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT**<br/><br/>The Diploma in Creative Professional Development offers undergraduate students the chance to spend a year between Year 2 and 3 of their course exploring their employability options through a structured programme of input sessions and work-based learning. The aim of the course is to provide you with an opportunity to gain industry insight, develop your employability skills through a series of supported experiences, expand your network and build your confidence in the workplace.<br/><br/>**YOUR FUTURE** <br/><br/>Graduates progress to a range of different roles within the creative industries. Within the course structure many students begin assisting alongside their studies, this is often the first destination for graduates who work as general photographer’s assistants, digital assistants or studio assistants. <br/><br/>Graduates may become photographers or artists in their own right immediately after completing their course.
