If you are passionate about applying scientific principles to support communication and want to make a difference to others lives, we can help you forge a fascinating career.<br/><br/>**On this course you will**:<br/>- Develop a strong theoretical understanding of speech and language therapy (SLT) through modules in linguistics, psychology, biological and medical sciences, and research methods.<br/><br/><br/>- Carry out regular clinical placements that will build your practical skills. You will be placed in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools and clinics to ensure you gain a range of experience.<br/><br/><br/>This is a four year integrated undergraduate master’s course. Students commence the course with a view to graduating with a master’s degree in four years. Students have the opportunity to transfer at the end of Year Two to a BSc (Hons) route. In Years Three and Four students are often taught alongside postgraduate students studying on the MSc Speech and Language Therapy (Pre-Registration). On successful completion of either the three or four-year route, students will be eligible to apply for registration with the HCPC as a speech and language therapist.
